Heterocyclic steroids synthesis of 3′-methylsoxazolino-[17,16-d]-5-androsten-3β-ol and derivatives

Abstract The treatment of the acetate of 16α-chloro-3β-hydroxypregn-5-en-20-one with hydroxylamine hydrochloride in pyridine affords the heterocyclic isoxazolino steroid, 3′-methylisoxazolino-[17, 16-d]-adrost-5-en-β-ol acetate in high yield.
