ESTUDIO BIBLIOMÉTRICO DE LAS ACTAS DEL CONGRESO DE LA ASOCIACIÓN ESPAÑOLA DE EXPERTOS CIENTÍFICOS EN TURISMO (AECIT, 1994-2012)

Las actas del Congreso de la Asociacion Espanola de Expertos Cientificos en Turismo (AECIT) constituyen el archivo de una parte de la investigacion turistica espanola. El objetivo del articulo es analizar la investigacion presentada en el Congreso de AECIT, mediante el analisis bibliometrico de las actas de las 17 ediciones (1994-2012). Se estudio la procedencia de las contribuciones: paises, comunidades autonomas, instituciones y autores. Asi como las caracteristicas de la investigacion, en cuanto a tematicas tratadas, territorios investigados, metodologias, disciplinas cientificas y actitudes hacia el turismo. Los resultados mostraron que la investigacion verso principalmente sobre el desarrollo, la planificacion, la gestion y la comercializacion del turismo, en territorios litorales e insulares, y que metadologicamente acuso cierto abuso de lso comentarios. Las disciplinas predominantes fueron el marketing, el management y la economia. Y tambien predomino la postura favorable, total o con matices, al desarrollo del turismo. Abstract The proceedings of the Congress of the Association of Scientific Experts in Tourism (AECIT) constitute an archival resource whitin the research on Spanish tourism. the aim of this article is to analyse  the research that has been presetned at the AECIT congresses by means of a bibliometric analysis of the proceedings of the 17 editions of this congress (1994-2012). The study focuses on the origin of the research presented (countries, regions, institutions and authors) as well as its characteristics in terms of themes dealt with, geographical areas researched, methodologies, academic disciplines and attitude towards tourism. the results show that the research dealt principally with the development, planning, management and marketing of tourism in Spain's costal regions and islands, and that in methodological terms it exhibited some overuse of commentaries. The main disciplines from which research was drawn were marketing, management and economics, and the research was overwhelmingly supportive of the development of tourism, though with certain reservations in some cases.
