Modélisation d'une installation de solidification bridgman avec chauffage par induction

1985
Abstract Bridgman growth with induction heating was modelled. Analytical solutions show that the temperature distribution in the sample depends on four experimental parameters: H and P c which characterize the transversal and longitudinal heat exchange, and ¢P and K which characterize the induction heating. A numerical solution yielded plots of isotherms and the dependence of their position, shape and gradient on the physical parameters. Hence, we show the possibility to obtain in the heat zone an isothermal shape which is suitable for monocrystalline growth, when the parameters reach some “boundary values”. The first experimental results corroborate the predicted effects.
