Cerebrolysin electrophoresis in the correction of the mental defects in neurosurgery patients

: Two routes of cerebrolysin administration--intravenous (a routine mode) and electrophoretic (the mode developed at the N. N. Burdenko Institute of Neurosurgery, Russian Academy of Medical Sciences)--were evaluated by using a standardized rating schedule of neurological and neuropsychological studies. The findings indicate that these routes of administration show the same therapeutical effect, the latter route of administration is simpler and causes no pain in patients.
