THE EFFECT OF STAPHYLOCOCCUS AUREUS WOOD 46 PEPTIDOGLYCAN ON CYTOTOXICACTIVITY OF MURINE MONONUCLEAR SPLENOCYTES

2009
The effect of S. aureus wood 46 peptidoglycan (PG) on cytotoxic activity of mononuclear splenocytes in mice has been investigated. It was shown that the targetcells death indices upon addition of PG at the concentration of 500 g/ml after 4h incubation were 1.5 times higher than corresponding indices in the control, but at lower concentrations PG did not influence cytotoxic activity of murine mononuclear splenocytes. 16 h incubation effector and target cells with PG resulted in a dose dependent increase of splenic mononuclear cells cytotoxicity by 1.5, 1.8, 2.0 and 2.5times for 10, 25, 100 and 500 g/ml of murein correspondingly.
