Muscovy duck semen diluent

The invention relates to a muscovy duck semen diluent which comprises the following raw materials: 1.6-2.4g/100mL of sodium glutamate, 0.8-1.2g/100mL of glucose, 0.3-0.6g/100mL of monopotassium phosphate, 0.1-0.3g/100mL of magnesium chloride, 0.6-1.0g/100mL of sodium bicarbonate, 60000-80000IU/100mL of streptomycin, and the balance of distilled water. A preparation method of the muscovy duck semen diluent comprises the steps of adding sodium glutamate, glucose, monopotassium phosphate, magnesium chloride, sodium bicarbonate and streptomycin at a raw material ratio, then adding the distilled water to 100mL, and regulating a PH (Potential of Hydrogen) value to be 6.5-7.2. Tests indicate that muscovy duck semen is diluted by the muscovy duck semen diluent at a ratio of 1:1 and 1:2, the average fertilization rate of hatching eggs is higher than the fertilization rate when the raw semen is diluted by normal saline at a ratio of 1:1 and 1:2, and the muscovy duck semen diluent can be popularized and used in the production process.
