Study on Friction Welding of Ductile Cast Iron and Low Carbon Steel

The weldability and mechanical property of the friction welded joints of ductile cast iron and low carbon steel were studied. The results show that under certain welding parameter, the joints of ductile cast iron and low carbon steel are sound, and the joints had adequate strength. So the friction welding is fit for ductile cast iron and low carbon steel.
