Intradiploic meningioma of the skull: Case report and review of the literature

1996
Summary An intraosseous calvarial meningioma appeared as a solitary lytic lesion on the plain X ray of the skull. The computerized tomography (CT) of the head showed the lesion confined to the diploe. Only three cases of totally osteolytic intraosseous meningiomas are described in the literature. This is the first case with a CT clearly showing the tumor confined to the bone. It is also the only one with a follow-up magnetic resonance (MR) showing no skull or intracranial tumor.
