Provided is a cooking plate that makes it possible to cook in a uniform manner no matter which area thereof is used to cook because temperature variation does not occur, that has excellent cleaning properties, that makes a quick increase in temperature and quick cooling possible, and that makes it possible to cook efficiently. The cooking plate (11) comprises a cooking surface (11a) on which a foodstuff (F) is placed and cooked, and is formed from a plate member that is ceramic or a metal/ceramic composite material and that has a thermal conductivity of 60W/mK or more. It is preferable that the Young's modulus of the cooking plate (11) be 250 Gpa or more and the thermal expansion coefficient be 7 ppm/°C or less. The cooking plate (11) is provided with a heating body that heats the cooking plate and a cooling mechanism that cools the cooking plate (11).
