The cooking plate (11) comprises a cooking surface (11a) on which a foodstuff (F) is placed and cooked, and is formed from a plate member that is ceramic or a metal/ceramic composite material and that has a thermal conductivity of 60W/mK or more. It is preferable that the Young's modulus of the cooking plate (11) be 250 Gpa or more and the thermal expansion coefficient be 7 ppm/°C or less. The cooking plate (11) is provided with a heating body that heats the cooking plate and a cooling mechanism that cools the cooking plate (11).
