STATE OF THE ART ON DYNAMIC PROGRAMS FOR FLEXIBLE RISERS SYSTEMS

The authors present the results of the investigation performed by the Institut Francais du Petrole and Coflexip on the state of the art on dynamic programs for flexible risers systems. A selection of four dynamic programs is made according to a certain number of criterions which were chosen as minimal requirements. These programs are representative samples of the various approaches dealing with flexible risers. The theoretical aspects of the various methods are briefly discussed and the comparison of the various results is made on two proposed cases: a standard Lazy-S configuration and a special Jumper case. Finally, conclusions from the study and recommendations are proposed.
