Neutron-proton Capture At Extreme Angles At En=61 Mev
1987
The neutron-proton capture differential cross section at 0 degrees and 180 degrees center of mass angles was measured at a neutron energy of 61 MeV. A new setup was designed which improved the signal over background ratio. The 0 degrees cross section was found in agreement with the set of the other data around 60 MeV; the 180 degrees cross section is significantly lower than the 0 degrees cross section.
