The invention belongs to the technical field of radar signal simulation, and discloses a radar signal simulation method based on digital synthesis, and a simulator. The simulator employed by the method consists of a random-waveform digital synthesis array, a time sequence control module, a multi-path digital synthesis network, a frequency conversion module, a signal output module, and a main control module. The input end of the random-waveform digital synthesis array is connected with the time sequence control module, and the output end of the random-waveform digital synthesis array is connected with the multi-path digital synthesis network, the frequency conversion module and an antenna feeder module. Moreover, the random-waveform digital synthesis array, the time sequence control module and the control end of the multi-path digital synthesis network are connected with the main control module. According to the invention, the method employs a mode of firstly generating a multi-path low frequency signal waveform and secondly carrying out frequency multiplication, achieves the output of multi-bandwidth radar signals, saves a frequency multiplier and other expensive microwave elements, is simple in structure, is convenient to control, improves the reliability of a simulator, and reduces the cost of the simulator.
