Relationship between apoA5 level and HDL subclasses
2014
Objective:To explore the relation between the apolipoprotein A5(apoA5) levels and subclasses of high density lipoprotein(HDL).Methods:The plasma level of apoA5 was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),and the HDL subclasses were measured with two-dimensional electrophoresis immunoblot in 310 subjects.According to the apoA5 level, the subjects were divided into three groups:a high level of apoA5(apoA5 ≥ 286.83 mg/L) group,a medium level of apoA5(139.99 ≤ apoA5 286.83 mg/L) group and a low level of apoA5(apoA5 139.99 mg/L) group. Results:Compared with the high level of apoA5 group, pre β1-HDL and HDL3 a were significantly increased(P0.01),while HDL2 a and HDL2 b were significantly decreased(P0.01) in the low level of apoA5 group. Conclusion:With the decreased plasma level of apoA5,the particle size of HDL shows a shift toward smaller size, and the decreased apoA5 may suppress the mature metabolism of HDL.
