Steroidal saponins from Smilax scobinicaulis

Two steroidal saponins were first isolated from 95% ethanol extract of the rhizome of Smilax scobinicaulis C.H.Wright,their structural were established on the basis of spectral and chemical methods as Compound Ⅲ:(25D)spirost-5-en-3β,17α,27-triol-3-O--O--β-D-glucopyranoside.Compound Ⅳ:(25D)spirost-3β,17α,27-triol-3-O--O--β-D-glucopyranoside.
