Detection of N(4S) by resonantly enhanced multiphoton ionizanon spectroscopy
1990
Abstract We report the first instance of detection of N( 4 S) atoms by Resonantly Enhanced Multiphoton Ionization (REMPI). The magnitude of the ion signal, after correction for laser power dependence, is directly proportional to the N( 4 S) concentration and, once calibrated, is a direct and highly sensitive method for N( 4 S) concentration measurements in fast-flow kinetics experiments.
