Imersão na realidade rural como metodologia de ensino: a experiência da disciplina Vivência em Agricultura Familiar

The article aims to present the experience of "Life in Family Agriculture”, a curricular discipline of the Agronomy undergraduate course from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, and to characterize the immersion in rural reality as a teaching methodology. It is part of the analytical perspective which considers theory and practice as inseparable parts in the teaching-learning process and has as empirical basis the qualitative data captured during the collective evaluation processes on the field stage of the discipline. As a main result, it is revealed that immersion in rural reality produces multiple learnings, some even beyond the objectives of the discipline, with the relationship between theory and practice triggering reflective processes on the action and the effective role of the future agronomists.
