Analysis of the hazards and risks associated with the influence of unintentional electromagnetic interference on the functioning of communication and warning systems in the safety management system of navigation in sea and river transport requires a detailed and accurate analysis of a number of factors and the identification of the most vulnerable reception channels and the most dangerous sources of radio interference at the level of individual radiations of radio transmitters. The article proposes an approach to the assessment of electromagnetic compatibility, based on frequency-limited models of characteristics of radio electronic means. Algorithms for evaluating electromagnetic compatibility have been developed. The developed approach to assessing the electromagnetic compatibility of radio electronic means in the safety management system of navigation in sea and river transport is based on three successive stages (stage of frequency assessment of obstacles; stage of detailed assessment of obstacles; stage of comprehensive assessment of interference).
