Az iratokat teljes terjedelemben, kronologiai sorrendben publikaltuk. Az osszefuggesek megertese erdekeben szamos kihagyott dokumentum tartalmat osszefoglaltuk. A mai kor kovetelmenyeinek megfelelően a dokumentumokat a nemzetkozi szabvanyoknak figyelembevetelevel digitalisan archivaltuk. A valogatasban megjelent forrasgyűjtemeny a versailles-i Kozep-Europa torteneteben lenyeges szerepet jatszo - magyar vonatkozasu - esemenyeket, a trianoni bekeszerződest es a szerződest meghatarozo nemzetkozi tenyezőket, a dunai allamok egymas kozotti viszonyat, az első vilaghaborut kovető magyar kulpolitikat, valamint a Kisantant letrejottenek korulmenyeit es tortenetet mutatja be. Elenk tarja a Karpat-medence - Versailles szellemeben tortenő - teljes atrendezeset, a győztesek rovidlato politikajat, mellyel ki-ki a sajat erdekeit szem előtt tartva megalkottak a gazdasagi es politikai szempontbol egyarant sebezhető Karpat-medencet. The volumes undertaken in the competition tender have been prepared and published: Francia diplomaciai iratok a Karpat-medence torteneteről, Volume 2: Trianon, 1919-1920, 348 pp., ISBN 963058011X, 2004; Volume 3: 1920-1921, 420 pp., ISBN 963 05 83275, 2006. The books contain 405 French printed sources in Hungarian translation. We provided summaries of documents which were not reproduced from the original French language version. The collections of sources provide a documentary background to the events and processes that played a significant role in shaping the history of Central Europe as conceived at Versailles and which have a specific bearing on Hungary, such as the Treaty of Trianon, the international factors that influenced the contents of the Treaty, the relationship among the states situated in the Danubian Basin, the foreign policy of Hungary in the aftermath of the First World War, and the history and circumstances of the creation of the Little Entente. The documents reveal the details of the comprehensive restructuring of the Carpathian Basin in the spirit of Versailles, the emergence of a system which turned out to be vulnerable both economically and politically. The documents published in the volumes fill a large number of gaps in the relevant historiography. They constitute primary sources for Hungarian as well as international historians and other scholars studying the recent history of the region.
