Effects of different elicitors on olfactory responses and ovipositive selection of Heliothis viriplaca and Leguminivora glycinivorella.

2010
Measurements were carried out on olfactory responses and ovipositive selection of Heliothis viriplaca ( Hu fnagel) and Leguminivora glycinivorella (Mats) . The results showed that two kinds of pests whose feeding habit scopes were different exploited similar reaction to induced soybean. The soybean plants treated with 1 mmol/ L , 10 mmol/ L MeJA and 10 mmol/ L MeSA showed significant repellence to female adults. And the value of EAG to induced plants was evidently higher than that to control . But the sensitivity of the males was lower than that of females. And the number of sensitive males was less than that of females. The soybean plants sprayed with 10 mmol/ L MeSA allured the pests. There were more eggs of the two kinds of pests in this treated plant just as the control .
