Avaliação da inoculação de suspensões bacterianas de Aeromonas hydrophila, em juvenis de jundiá, Rhamdia quelen (Teleostei, Pimelodidae)
2004
This study had as objective evaluates the effect of the application of suspensions of different amounts of UFC (Unity Formation of Colony) of Aeromonas hydrophila (CHESTER, 1901) / ml of saline solution, in juvenile of jundia, Rhamdia quelen (QUOY & GAIMARD, 1824), to determine the bacterial couting of bacteria kidney and lesion for the fish inoculate, as well as describe its pathogenicity. The suspensions used were 3,6 x 107 and 7,5 x 106 UFC/ml. With duration of 10 days, it was obtained 100% of mortality in the fish inoculated with 3,6 x 107 UFC/ml and 25% mortality in those inoculated with 7,5 x 106 UFC/ml. The bacterial couting was proportional the amount of inoculated bacterias, having significant difference among the amounts found in the kidney and lesions inside of the treatments and between treatments. The clinical signs and the behavior observed by the infected animals were the same ones in the two bacterial concentrations: balance loss, ascite, exophthalmia, pale and flaccid organ, necrosis in the fins, lesions in the skin, in the genital pore and jaw. The bacteria showed be pathogenic and can cause of the ulcer disease in jundia.
