Tamoxifen-Induced Fluorescence as a Predictive Test for Hormone Responsiveness of Breast Carcinoma

1986
In the past few years, the use of histochemical and immuno histochemical methods has been advocated to demonstrate steroid receptors in breast tissue or mammary cells obtained by fine-needle aspiration. These techniques have revealed the heterogeneity of tumor tissue with respect to cell hormone responsiveness (Greene et al., 1984; Lampertico, 1984; Lee, 1981, 1984; Nenci, 1981; Pertschuk et al., 1981).
