Study on the Novel Dual-Polarization Aperture Coupled Microstrip Antenna Element

After being compared between some methods of dual-polarization microstrip antenna,a novel design of dual-polarization microstrip patch antenna with high isolation and low back-radiation is proposed in the paper.The high polarization isolation,impedance match and low back-radiation and high radiation efficiency are realized by adding a pair symmetrical parasitic stub in the feed line of antenna element with the H shape coupled aperture.The simple structure is tunable and compact,easy to be fabricated in a dual-polarization large array.It can be used in the high resolution and dual-polarization synthetic aperture radar(SAR) system and the mobile communication systems with high anti-multipath interference.The results of the simulated and experimental ones are presented and in good agreement,showing the validity of this design.
