Characteristics of Kaolin Clay from the Deposit in the Svetlinskii Area of Orenburg Oblast

The object of research was kaolin mineral raw material from a deposit in the Svetlinskii area of Orenburg Oblast. The characteristics of the clay were obtained by means of granulometric, colorimetric, chemical and x-ray fluorescence, x-ray phase, and sorption analyses as well as EPR spectroscopy. Analysis of the results obtained for the main characteristics of kaolin clay shows that this clay can be used to manufacture electroporcelain.
