Particle swarm optimization based optimal load distribution of hot continuous rolling

2015
Based on the mathematical modeling and analysis of the rolling process, an optimal load distribution model is established. The total energy consumption is to be minimized by adjusting rolling reduction of each pass. The equipment, rolling process and on-site experience constraints are taken into consideration. An improved particle swarm optimization algorithm is employed to get the optimal rolling parameters. The simulation results on a six-frame strip demonstrate that the proposed method is efficient in reducing energy consumption with the quality of products ensured. The experiment in an Iron and Steel Group shows the feasibility of the proposed method.
