Synthesis and Properties of Photo-responsive Tetrathiafulvalene derivatives

New photo-responsive tetrathiafulvalene derivatives 1 with an azobenzene moiety have been synthesized. The electrochemical properties, electrical conductivities of charge-transfer complexes with 2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyano-p-benzoquinone, and photochromic phenomena of 1 are also presented.
