Ferrocement gasifiers: a new development in low cost gasifier fabrication

The water cooled ferrocement gasifier designed for lift irrigation is a novel approach based largely on ferrocement technology to produce low cost open core gasifiers which can be fabricated in the field with local craft skills and simple hand tools. Although not all gasifier system elements are ferrocement, the majority of the system components (all containment vessels, vessel walls used as heat exchangers for gas cooling, internal pipes and fittings, sealing flanges and covers to ash bin and filter openings, etc.) have been successfully constructed from ferrocement in the field
