Effects of the Magnetic Field on Lasing Without Population Inversion in a V-type Atomic System

The interaction of a three-level V-type atom with an additional magnetic field is studied.With one coupling field and one probe field,it is found that,due to the effects of the added magnetic field,lasing without inversion(LWI) can be realized.Here,the magnetic field can induce the quantum coherence between the two upper levels.Also,it can influence the interference of the other transitions.
