Background In recent years,with in-depth study of the mechanism and understanding of the dangers of pain,treatment of acute pain after cardiovascular surgery has been considered to be more and more important to anesthesiologists and patients.Meanwhile,with the improvement of anesthesia techniques and analgesia methods,better postoperative analgesia is required.Objective The aim of this review is to illustrate the management of acute pain after cardiovascular surgery in order to achieve better effect.Content This review has been focused on the mechanism and risk factors on acute pain and clinical analgesia methods after cardiovascular surgery.Trend The study on management of acute pain after cardiovascular surgery has achieved certain results.More research on new analgesic methods is still worth exploring to meet patients' need.
