Solvothermal Synthesis and Characterization of a New 3D Zn(II) Coordination Polymer With (3,4)-Connected Topology

2016
A new Zn(II) compound, namely [Zn(btec)0.5(bpe)0.5(DMF)]n (1 H4btec = 1,2,4,5-benzenetetracarboxylic acid, bpe = 1,2-di(4-pyridyl)ethylene, DMF = N,N’-dimethylformamide), has been solvothermally synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Compound 1 features a complicated three-dimensional (3D) framework with (3,4)-connected fsh topology. Moreover, this compound emits strong luminescence at room temperature.
