Relation of Youngsters' Wingate Anaerobic Power to Lower ExtremityBones and Muscular Shape

2004
Purpose: To find out the relation of the indices of 30s Wingate anaerobic power to bonesand muscular shape. Methods: 29 youngsters of 19-21 years old were tested. Ultrasonic wave wasapplied to test the tricps of the shank and the tendon. The other indices of morphology were obtained bynormal methods. The way of Wingate was used to measure the anaerobic power of lower extremity. Andblood lactic acid was tested 5min after the exercise. Result: top power, top power/kg. weight, averagepower and average power/ kg.weight of the male are higher than those of the female. 5min after WATexercise, the blood lactic acid of the male is obviously high. Conclusion: Thin weight of the male grouphas a positive relation to average power. The thigh and shank measurements of the female group havea positive relation to average power. The morphological indices of the lower extremity muscle and boneof both groups have no obvious relation to lower extremity anaerobic power.
