Development of High Speed PMSM for Distributed Generation

DG(dist ributed generation) using ndcroturblne Is accepted as typical and practical solution because of its euvironment-frie ndliness and high energy efficiency. Various applications such as peak shaving, co-generation, remote power and premium power will make its penetration more wide-spread. Micro turbine is very high speed prime mover, and Its mechanical power Is transformed to electricity by PMSM(permanent magnet synchronous machine). In this paper, we present analysis and test results of PMSM for DG using ndcroturbine. These verification procedures show us that the developed PMSM can be applied to DG connected to grid or stand-alone operation.
