Soil and Sustainability: Dutch Policy

In recent years, Dutch soil policy has been influenced by the general trend in environmental policy which has been moving away from a sectoral approach and towards an integrated approach. This paper gives an account of the present situation from four angles: prevention, active management of contaminated soil, soil remediation and the use of standards in these areas.
