Finite Element Analysis of Front Impact between Two Vehicles

Based on the studies of vehicle collision, the C-NCAP and CMCDR 294, and the Hypermesh and LSDYNA which are the finite element software are applied to build a finite element model of the vehicle and simulate the process of front impact between two cars. Also the impact capability of the vehicle is evaluated by analyzing the deformation of the vehicle, the bumper, front parts and the front passenger doors. The curves of velocity and acceleration are also analyzed to evaluate the impact capability of the vehicle.
