Collaborative Model Connectivity for Avionics Systems Design

Highly-Dependable Avionics Systems (HDAS) are required to provide outstanding performance even in extreme situations. Their development is very costly, and involves stakeholders from different disciplines. Diverse requirements and stakeholders challenge the HDAS development lifecycle as to decision-making processes that require a trade-off between parties involved. This paper presents a method to minimize downtime and potential design problems by facilitating the interconnection between different models of the HDAS under development. The approach increases the design autonomy by interconnecting and relating design outputs from stakeholders with design inputs from other stakeholders. This paper also shows preliminary results from an application example of the cloud design framework interfaces to interlink HDAS models. Concluding remarks and future research are also presented.
