The invention discloses a one-dimensional Bi-doped carbon nanowire composite material and a preparation method and application thereof. The one-dimensional Bi-doped carbon nanowire composite material is homogeneous in structure, regular and uniform in bismuth particle and completely embedded into carbon nanowires. The preparation method has the advantages of simple materials, availability to the materials, low price, simple synthesis method and environmental friendliness. The one-dimensional Bi-doped carbon nanowire composite material is high in cycling stability and specific capacity and capable of effectively inhibiting alloying volume expansion during cycling when used as lithium ion and sodion battery cathode materials, and is as high as 300 mAh g in capacity after 500 circles of cycling under the condition of 100 mA g and as high as 290 mAh g in capacity after 500 circles of cycling under the condition of 100 mA g when used as the lithium ion battery cathode material.
