The invention relates to a bactericide composition comprising folpet and sedaxane and application of the bactericide composition, wherein the weight ratio of folpet to sedaxane is (1:50) to (50:1), preferentially (1:10) to (20:1), and more preferentially (1:10) to (10:1); the bactericide composition can be prepared into a water dispersible granule, an emulsion in water, a microemulsion, a water suspension, a wettable powder, a seed coating and the like, and is used to prevent and treat smut, tarspotdisease, gray mold, leaf spot diseases, powdery mildew, physalospora piricola, early blight and late blight, a quite excellent synergistic effect is produced after the folpet and the sedaxane are compounded in a certain ratio scope, the sterilizing effect is obviously improved in comparison with that of a single dosage, so that the usage amount of a bactericide is reduced, the influence on the environment is reduced while the pesticide cost of a farmer is lowered.
