Synthesis, modification and application in biology of quantum dots

A review was provided about the development of the methods for synthesis and modification of II-VI QDs in the last decade. The disadvantages and advantages of these methods were analyzed. Meanwhile, new achievements of the application in medicine and biology as well as the trends of II-VI QDs research were presented.
