Incorporation Into SEGBA’s Greater Buenos Aires System of 120-MW Peaking Units
1970
The authors summarize the process of incorporating peaking units into the company’s system, which in 1966, before the incorporation of those units, had an installed capacity of 1370 MW. The characteristics of the system established the basis for a technical-economical feasibility report, including the comparative choice of the types of units and of the most convenient places on the system for their location. Comments are made regarding the technical characteristics of the equipment and the experience gathered during installation and putting into service. Some statistical data and a reference to the principal difficulties encountered, show their behavior in operation.Copyright © 1970 by ASME
