A process for preparing diaminodiarylmethanes

The invention relates to a process for preparing diaminodiarylmethanes comprising the steps of: a) reacting an aromatic amine with a methylene group-supplying agent in the presence of homogeneous acid catalysts, b) removing the homogeneous acid catalyst from the reaction product, c) working up and purifying the reaction product, wherein the homogeneous acid catalyst is removed by adsorption on a solid adsorbent from the reaction mixture.
