Elastofibroma dorsi. Presentación de un caso y revisión de la bibliografía Elastofibroma dorsi. A case report and review of the literature

2000
Summary. We report a case of this uncommon lesion included in the group of fibroblastic tumor of soft tissues. Elastofibroma usually occurs in active patients of middle age (50-55 years) and is tipically located in the subescapular region, although it may be found in other sites. It may be confused with sarcoma at operation, but its unique clinical and histologic characte ristics allow to distinguish it from a malignant tumor and faci litate its management.
