Copernicus Global Land Service NDVI Continuity with Sentinel-3 Data

The global component of the Copernicus Land Monitoring Service (CGLS) provides two NDVI time series, at 300 m and 1 km, based on SPOT/VGT and PROBA-V. At the end of the operational mission of PROBA-V, these NDVI time series are continued using data from Sentinel-3 OLCI (S-3). This paper introduces the different CGLS NDVI data sets and presents the results of the evaluation of the S-3 based NDVI for the continuation of the current NDVI archives.
