Concept of merging encoded data packets

Transmitter (110-m) for transmitting user data (112-m) within a time interval (T) over a communication channel to a receiver (120), with means (ENC) for generating a plurality of channel encoded data packets (210-n) from the useful data (112-m), each of the channel-coded data packets (212-n) having packet core data corresponding to a different for each data packet packet identifier, and wherein the packet core data ( 212-n) are coded with a channel code of higher redundancy than the user data (112-m); and means (TX) for transmitting the plurality of channel-coded data packets (210-n) in the time interval (T) to the receiver (120), said device (TX) is adapted to send to the plurality of channel encoded data packets (210- n) in sending independent of a return channel from the receiver (120) to the transmitter (110 m) in the time interval (T) with respect to content and transmission times.
