Irish population economy and society: essays in honour of the late K. H. Connell.

This collection of essays by various authors focuses on the demographic economic and social history of Ireland. The essays are being published in honor of the late Kenneth H. Connell. A section on demography and diet includes papers on Irish population 1687-1821; the accuracy of the pre-Famine Irish censuses; the demography of the Irish Quakers 1650-1850; and population growth and diet 1600-1850.
