3D All-optical Control of Functionally Defined Neurons With Cellular Resolution and Sub-millisecond Precision

Combining 3D-SHOT and opsin engineering, we achieve optical control over neural ensembles in awake animals with simultaneous single-neuron spatial resolution and sub-millisecond temporal precision during two-photon calcium imaging.
