Experimental study on thermal performance of flat miniature heat pipe

The influence of the gravitation on the thermal performance of the flat miniature heat pipe with small charge ratio is studied systematically and the influence of the working temperature and cooling method are also analyzed. The conclusion can be reached that the gravitation influence is ob-(vious in) the axially direction while it is negligible in the radial direction, which results in the great influence of tilt angle on the performance of the flat miniature heat pipe. It is proved that the flat miniature heat pip with deep and narrow grooves has excellent heat transfer performance in the field of small-room heat dissipation, such as the cooling of micro electronic apparatus.
