SOME THEORETICAL PROBLEMS REGARDING HIGH RATE COAL INJECTION ON BLAST FURNACE

Some theoretical problems regarding high rate coal injection on blast furnace, including the permeability in the lower part of blast furnace and the quality of raw materials, heat compensation and the theoretical flame temperature are discussed. A new method for calculation of theoretical flame temperature with the consideration of coal combustion effieciency and the chemical reactions in tuyere zone is proposed. A limit of coal injection rate is given based on complete consumption of unburnt char within the blast furnace.
