A Coordination Space Based Resource-Centered Dynamic Coordination Approach to Software Systems

2012
The large scale software system often consists of many subsystems or modules. Coordination among subsystems or modules is a key issue. In this paper, a coordination space based resource-centered dynamic coordination model is presented, which includes three kinds of entities: computation entities, coordinators and coordination space. Computation entity contains role, actors and services. Coordination space plays part in the basis of dynamic coordination among computation entities, which mainly contains computation description, resource description, environment description and registry. Coordinator is responsible for coordination among computation entities, which includes communication coordinator, resource coordinator and service coordinator. When new role, actors and services enter to the system, they must login to the registry, and when leaving the system, they must logout to the registry. By this way, description information in coordination space is updated at runtime, so that dynamic coordination is achieved. The implementation approach to dynamic coordination is discussed.
