The value of combined detection of serum F-PSA, T-PSA and F/T in the diagnosis of prostate carcinoma.

2009
Objective: To investigate the value of F-PSA T-PSA and F/T in the diagnosis of prostate carcinoma. Methods: serum F-PSA and T-PSA were determined by CLIA in 78 prostate carcinoma patients with 184 benign prostatic hyperplasia patients and 50 healthy subjects, Ratio of F-PSA to T-PSA was calculated. Results:Serum F-PSA, T-PSA levels in patients with prostate carcinoma were significantly higher than that in benign prostatic hyperplasia and controls (P0.01,P0.01), but F/T was lower than that in benign prostatic hyperplasia and healthy subjects. The serum of T-PSA in prostate carcinoma patients had no relation with that in benign prostatic hyperplasia patients, but F/T was significantly lower than that in benign prostatic hyperplasia (p0.01) Conclusion: combined detection of serum F-PSA ,T-PSA and F/T have significant value in differential diagnosis and screening of high-risk populations.
