Genetic Algorithm for Generation of PV Panel Curves From Datasheets

The current paper proposes an algorithm for datasheet parameter extraction for photovoltaic modules. The extracted parameters are relevant to single diode photovoltaic cell model and allow for synthesis of IV and PV curves. The extracted parameters are obtained by approximation trough a genetic algorithm. The paper presents the structure of the genetic algorithm and discusses suggested fitness function and methods selected in order to improve accuracy and execution time. The algorithm is verified where accuracy and key parameters are presented.
