A Case Report: Neurilemoma of the Saphenous Nerve that Caused Pain Aruound the Knee

1992
A case of neurilemoma of the sapheous nerve is reported. A 34-year-old man had a 5-month history of pain located in the left knee. Physical examination was negative with the exception of a 1×2cm mass found at the medial side of the left knee. An ultrasound scanning showed a hypoechoic mass in the same lesion. At operation, a solitary mass was found as a part of the infrapatellar branch of the saphenous nerve. Histologically, it showed the characteristic appearance of a nerilemoma.
